Most of these pieces are one-of-a-kind owing to the fact that they are handmade and the material itself is variable. The decision about where to go with a given timber, once it is on the lathe, is highly dependant on the color, grain figure, and defects that are revealed as the wood is turned, not to mention my own inclination of the moment.
